Sweet Summa Time!!

Wow the past few months have flown by! I spent the majority of the semester neck deep in National Board paperwork, which I submitted ON TIME! Now I just have to take the computer part on June 14 (Will's birthday!). I finished up my third year of Kindergarten, to be told that I would be taking the open 1st grade position! Wow!! I am super excited, but nervous at the same time! My teacher bff Nicole moved to NWRE this past year from Flora (FINALLY!!) and my room will be across the hall from her!

As far as my weight watchers journey - I am down 23 pounds. It was 25, but of course I blew it this past week on the beach in Florida. Oh well, that just means I had a great vacation right! :) But now it's back to reality and I have lots more weight to lose, so this summer will be sweet and full of sweat!

Will has started his hopefully last semester of grad school, so I will be busy proofreading his homework and papers. Lila Kate's daycare charges during the summer, even though I am not at work, so I have decided that in order to get things done around the house, LK will be attending most days to get the lunch we paid for and social time with her friends. Don;t judge.

Its been awhile....dont judge

Okay okay okay. Life happens. And it happens fast. I blinked and we were celebrating Lila Kate's first birthday. For real. She's 1. Wow.

I have been crazy busy with 19 kindergarteners. I also took on the task of getting my National Board certification in Literacy. Really, Pam? But I figured doing it now why Lila is so little, she won't remember the hours I spend typing locked up in the bedroom.

And my newest endeavor - Weight Watchers. I am admitting that I have not lost all of my baby weight. How embarrassing. There is no excuse. So on February 15 (yes the day after National Chocolate day) I went in for my first meeting, weighing a disgusting 212 pounds. Gross. Ewe. Uck. Those are the words that were flying through my head the whole meeting. I had let myself go long enough.

I embraced the Points+ system with open arms. I drank more water than I have like my entire life. I found lots of new recipes and cooked all week long. And it paid off.

-5.6

Can you believe that?? I lost more than 5 pounds in ONE WEEK!! AGH!! I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I can do this. That is my mantra. I can so do this.

This week's menu:
Monday - Broccoli Quiche (5 points+)
Tuesday - Chicken "baseballs" (8 points+)
Wednesday - pork chops (points+ TBD)
Thursday - Creamy chicken and spinach (points+ TBD)
Friday - Chicken Spaghetti (7 points+)
