16 weeks

School is winding down (10 more days!!) and my sweet Lila Kate is just as ready as I am for summer break! Our little munchkin is growing up so fast! In just the past week she has found her giggles! I don't know what is so funny about getting a diaper change, but she just laughs!! I love it!! She had giggled in her sleep several times, but actually knowing what she is laughing at makes the sound so much sweeter! She has also loved her playmat this week. I pulled out the one that plays music when her feet hit the piano keys, and she has enjoyed it so much! My mom comes Sunday to stay the week with us and keep Lila Kate during the day. Will has to work 9-5 all next week, so we're giving our sitter a break since she normally doesn't kept her that many hours.

15 weeks

So milestone today on Lila Kate's 15 week birthday - her first cold :( We visited Dr. Welch to make sure there was no ear infection joining it, and found out that she weighs 13 pounds 6 ounces! Getting so chunky!! Other than that, not much new this week. She is holding her head up pretty good, especially if you're holding her against your chest. She enjoys that type of tummy time much better than on the floor. Dr. Welch said she is still too little to be rolling over, so that made me feel better about LK's lack of enthusiasm to trying to roll. She does, however, arch her back and neck to try and see what is going on when she's on her side. I think in a few weeks she might get the idea of rolling over. I'm sure it would be more comfortable.
