Wow the past few months have flown by! I spent the majority of the semester neck deep in National Board paperwork, which I submitted ON TIME! Now I just have to take the computer part on June 14 (Will's birthday!). I finished up my third year of Kindergarten, to be told that I would be taking the open 1st grade position! Wow!! I am super excited, but nervous at the same time! My teacher bff Nicole moved to NWRE this past year from Flora (FINALLY!!) and my room will be across the hall from her!
As far as my weight watchers journey - I am down 23 pounds. It was 25, but of course I blew it this past week on the beach in Florida. Oh well, that just means I had a great vacation right! :) But now it's back to reality and I have lots more weight to lose, so this summer will be sweet and full of sweat!
Will has started his hopefully last semester of grad school, so I will be busy proofreading his homework and papers. Lila Kate's daycare charges during the summer, even though I am not at work, so I have decided that in order to get things done around the house, LK will be attending most days to get the lunch we paid for and social time with her friends. Don;t judge.

Its been awhile....dont judge
Okay okay okay. Life happens. And it happens fast. I blinked and we were celebrating Lila Kate's first birthday. For real. She's 1. Wow.
I have been crazy busy with 19 kindergarteners. I also took on the task of getting my National Board certification in Literacy. Really, Pam? But I figured doing it now why Lila is so little, she won't remember the hours I spend typing locked up in the bedroom.
And my newest endeavor - Weight Watchers. I am admitting that I have not lost all of my baby weight. How embarrassing. There is no excuse. So on February 15 (yes the day after National Chocolate day) I went in for my first meeting, weighing a disgusting 212 pounds. Gross. Ewe. Uck. Those are the words that were flying through my head the whole meeting. I had let myself go long enough.
I embraced the Points+ system with open arms. I drank more water than I have like my entire life. I found lots of new recipes and cooked all week long. And it paid off.

Can you believe that?? I lost more than 5 pounds in ONE WEEK!! AGH!! I am now 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I can do this. That is my mantra. I can so do this.

Monday - Broccoli Quiche (5 points+)
Tuesday - Chicken "baseballs" (8 points+)
Wednesday - pork chops (points+ TBD)
Thursday - Creamy chicken and spinach (points+ TBD)
Friday - Chicken Spaghetti (7 points+)

Halloween fun!
Miss Priss has really enjoyed the pumpkin season, as well has her mom! Lila Kate turned 9 months on the 17th and a few days after we took pumpkin pictures at Sherry Chance's house. She also went to St. Mark's fall Fest and watched other kids play games. Her treat to her daycare friends were individual pumpkins - well sweet potatoes. We trick or treated on the 30th because a bad rain storm moved through on Halloween day. Luckily we had the heads up so we could reschedule! Now it's time for turkeys!!!

9 months!
Fall is in full swing and so is Lila Kate! She goes to the doctor next week for shots but we will get a current weight, which I'm guessing is going to be around 25 pounds! She has 5 teeth with 2-3 more about to bust through! She is finally crawling on her knees and can stand up in her crib and pack-n-play. I'm having to buy her clothes because the weather is cooling off and she's in need of long sleeves and pants. I'm loving watching her grow and change every day!

8 months old and growing like a weed
Lila Kate is not slowing down! The little booger can sit up, slither across the floor, say mama and dada, and bye bye. Clothes are getting too small everyday. She loves dinner time! Hasn't turned away any of her food. She loves Charlie and tries to get him to play with her. She has 4 teeth with a few more close to breaking through!

28 weeks
Well I have officially gone back to school, which means that Lila Kate is now "daddy's girl" every morning! He has done such a great job getting her fed and dressed and to daycare before work. She has really started babbling this week. Not that she didn't babble before, but now she will go a few minutes of non-stop talk. Is this a sign if what's to come?! We had her 6th month checkup this past week (a few weeks late) and she weighed in at 18.8 (90th%), was 26.5 inches long (75th%), and was in the 90th% for head circumference. Growing like a weed!!
